Salary: $27.24 - $33.03 Depending on experience

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: The Clarkston Educator Support Center (Clarkston School District O?ce) Educator Data Specialist supports Educators through the administration of data using District software such as Skyward. Additionally, the Educator Data Specialist works with others in the District to resolve student data errors in the CEDARS system as well as build and submit reports such as the Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) report. The person selected for this position will be pro?cient at contributing to the team in a professional manner and will provide general support to other departments. The Educator Data Specialist works under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent.
Required Quali?cations: · High School Diploma or GED
· Professional data administration skills and strong knowledge of Skyward
· Strong computer skills (Microsoft O?ce – including Outlook and Excel, Zoom, Skyward, Google Suites, and numerous Software Systems including EduClimber)
· Commitment to the success of Clarkston School District
· Ability to maintain high levels of con?dentiality
Major Duties and Responsibilities: · Under general supervision, perform all aspects of administration of District data and report generation using District software and data with a high level of efficiency and confidentiality. Special Knowledge/Skills: · Perform basic math including calculations using fractions, percents, and or ratios · Understand complex multi-step written and verbal instructions · Write routine documents including letters, memos, and email. Use multi-line communication system. · Prepare and maintain accurate records · Interact with district sta? in a pleasant and courteous manner · Operate standard o?ce machines such as computers, telephones, copy machines, and other equipment used in the workplace · Repair minor equipment malfunctions and contact vendors as needed · Establish and maintain e?ective working relationships with District employees · Write or print legibly Experience: · Prior data administration experience Working Conditions and Physical E?ort: · Interaction with di?cult people may occur on occasion · Sound judgment and a pleasant attitude are required in stressful situations · Operates under extremely heavy workloads and rigorous deadlines · Lifting, carrying, and moving work-related supplies/equipment weighing up to 30 pounds Physical requirements are stated in the ADA job analysis - available on request. Essential Duties: · Manage accurate CEDARS reporting, including processing of SSIDs · Assist with implementation and setup of new education and curriculum programs/software/data systems such as
EduClimber · Manage the District’s Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) report, EEOC and others as assigned · Generate additional reports following state and federal guidelines · Process Educator requests and run various smaller reports as needed · Create and maintain calendars each year for all schools/changes for snow days, etc. · Oversee the year-start processes for each school and the District · Oversee building year-end processes and run year-end process at District level for all schools over the summer · Serve as a liaison with school registrar to assist in all student record maintenance and retention · Monitor data for accuracy and coordinate with end-users to resolve incorrect, inaccurate, or incomplete data · Respond to telephone or email inquiries regarding problems associated with student information system (SIS) · Data clean-up for Skyward including students, guardians, emergency contacts, name merge, and address merge · Assist school buildings and District staff in effective use of District systems · Maintain and monitor Skyward systems/Educator access/Family Access · Manage security access levels for all users of the student information system (SIS) · Create new and maintain existing security groups / implement required security changes · Maintain staff accounts/new accounts/position changes/inactivate terminated staff accounts · Reset passwords for staff/family access · Observe confidentiality regarding student and personnel information · THIS POSITION COULD BE RESTRUCTURED, JOB DUTIES ABOVE MAY CHANGE.
