EMERGENCY SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS
Job Title: Emergency Substitute Teachers Reports to: Building Administrators FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
We are looking for qualified candidates with a Bachelors Degree to join the Certificated substitute staff. These are at will, on-call substitute positions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or higher;
- Experience working with children and students preferred;
- Ability to communicate professionally with students, parents/guardians, administrators and other school staff;
- Ability to follow and enforce rules, policies and procedures;
- Must be punctual and reliable;
- Fingerprint background check is required;
- Must pass a criminal background check that meets required state, federal, and Clarkston School District standards;
- Safe Schools Training is REQUIRED, and needs to be completed BEFORE start date

The fee is $49.00. Please DO NOT apply for certificate before being hired.
Job Description:
- Teach lesson plans and instructions as directed by the absent teacher
- Maintain clean, respectful, and orderly classroom
- Follow classroom and school procedures as directed by the school
- Leave notes for the regular teacher at the end of the teaching day
- Communicate in a friendly and positive manner towards parents, students, and administrators
- Keep records of attendance, accidents and incidents
- Protect students, equipment, materials and facilities
- Ensure safety of students at all times
- Other duties as assigned by Building Administrator
